Information collected

If you have us register a domain name: the registrant's contact details (name, organization, address, phone, email) and, for a .ca, the registrant type required by CIRA.

Use

Providing the services, billing, ensuring security, answering your requests and informing you of important changes. No advertising, no profiling.

Hosting

Your email, files, websites and account are hosted on our servers, in data centres located in Québec (Canada).

Service providers and communication outside Québec

For some functions, we use the following providers. They receive only the information needed for their task and may not use it for other purposes.

  • Stripe (United States and Ireland) : payment and invoice processing. Receives your name, email, billing address and amounts. Your card number goes directly to Stripe: we never see it.
  • SMTP2GO (New Zealand, servers in several countries) : sending relay for outgoing email, so it reaches the inbox rather than spam. Your sent messages pass through its servers; only delivery logs (sender, recipient, date, status) are kept for a limited time.
  • Namecheap (United States) : registration and renewal of the domain names you order from us. The registrant's details are sent to the extension's registry (CIRA, in Canada, for a .ca), as required for any domain registration.

Before communicating information outside Québec, we assess whether the provider protects it adequately (contractual confidentiality commitments, encrypted exchanges, limited purpose). Your stored email and files remain in Québec.

Cookies

The site uses a session cookie (sign-in and security) and a cookie that remembers your choices. No audience measurement cookie is set without your consent. You can change your choices at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of each page.

Retention

Your service data is deleted within 30 days after the account is closed. Billing information is kept for the period required by tax laws. Domain name registries keep the registrant's details according to their own rules.

Your rights

You can request access to your information, its correction, its portability or its deletion, and withdraw your consent. Write to the person in charge above. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Incidents

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
